Fete de la Musique

On the night of the 21st of June Paris hosts the Fete de la Musique, a huge musical event where on streets all over Paris live bands play all kinds of music and there is drinking and many festivities. So last night was big. It is the summer soltice so everyone was out having a good time. Everywhere I went there were live bands playing, I think I saw about 20 in my travels, and along with each band there were heaps of people listening, dancing and drinking. This video doesn't really do the night justice but you can sorta get an idea of the amount of people there. Boulevard St. Germain was so packed with people that it was closed to traffic, along with many other areas of Paris.
